Why this blog?

There are many reasons. Firstly, I suppose it is unavoidable in my life. Secondly, the readers of my book over the past 2 years have been emailing to me requesting a discussion forum. Thirdly, there has been requests for me to translate this book into English but I cannot find the time. Those who want to may volunteer.

This blog will be both in Malay and English, probably even more in the Malay language.

I must at the beginning itself make it clear that:

I believe that the Quran is the authoritative scripture of God that Man has today which is unadulterated.

1) I am not trying to convince anyone of my beliefs or attempting to propagate any beliefs. It is a futile exercise. You have to find the truth for yourself, if it is important for you.
2) I do not expect my views to be acceptable to anyone. So, please check your own scriptures and do not take anything I say here as a fact without verifying yourself.
3)I am not a religious scholar and may Allah forbid that I ever become one!
4)In the course of writing my views, it may oppose other views and you are most welcome to share those opposing views. I must make it clear that it is not my intention to offend anyone.

I sincerely believe that those who have a yearning for God will find it in their hearts to discuss with love. Even when we may strongly put across our views, our love for God should make us mindful that we can live together with differing views.

Is it not for God to judge between us on the Day of Judgement?

With my intentions clear, may God guide me.

NOTE: Thanks to the young friend of mine who set up this blog with the promise that it will not take up much of time. Let's see!

You will find truth in Christ, only, and His Church, the Catholic Church, although it is filled with men and women who are sinners.

I wish you only good on your journey towards God. May you seek God with an open heart and mind and may He bless this search, abundantly.

Nicely said and well received. The freedom to choose is a precious gift. Thank God, for those who practice and protect such freedom.

Anonymous,

wish you a good journey with God too. Actually, whether we realize it or not, whether we admit or deny it, God is always with us. It is only some of us who deny His/Her presence.
